Final Meeting of the Judicial Circuit Assessment Committee

The Judicial Circuit Assessment Committee is scheduled to hold its final meeting on November 29, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. At this meeting the committee will conduct a final review of the report they will submit to the Florida Supreme Court.

At the November 3rd meeting of the Judicial Circuit Assessment Committee, the committee members voted unanimously to recommend against consolidating any of Florida’s current judicial circuits.

Interim State Courts Administrator Eric Maclure presented the Fiscal Year 2024-25 legislative budget request (LBR) for the State Courts System to the House Judiciary Appropriations Subcommittee on November 7, 2023.


2023 Reporters' Workshop

Judicial Circuit Assessment Committee Online Meeting

The Judicial Circuit Assessment Committee will hold an online meeting on November 17, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. At this meeting the committee will consider a draft report of their findings to submit to the Florida Supreme Court.

Judge Anthony Rondolino received the 2023 Chief Justice Excellence Award in recognition of his exceptional contributions to Florida’s Sixth Judicial Circuit. The award was presented by Justice John D. Couriel at the annual education program of the Conference of Circuit Court Judges.


Judge Gordon Murray, Miami-Dade County, Receives the 2023 Chief Justice Award for Judicial Excellence

Chief Justice Carlos Muñiz awarded the Honorable Gordan Murray the 2023 Chief Justice Award for Judicial Excellence. The award recognizes judges who demonstrate exceptional commitment to the judicial branch.

Register for the First Annual Reporters' Workshop Virtual Session

On May 23 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (EDT), The Florida Bar Media & Communications Law Committee and the Florida Supreme Court will present a free virtual Reporters’ Workshop about Florida's appellate courts and the addition of a brand new Sixth District Court of Appeal. The event is intended for reporters and stakeholders, but attendees need not be members of the media.

Registration is not required for public access to dockets in the new Appellate Case Information System (ACIS)

ACIS will allow access to public dockets and available case documents – though some case dockets and documents may be restricted. Attorneys of record and self-represented litigants must register to access documents in their cases. ACIS will only serve the Florida Supreme Court and the First District Court of Appeal beginning March 6.


New Appellate Case Information System coming soon for the supreme court and First District Court of Appeal

Soon the online docket for the supreme court and the First District Court of Appeal will be available on the new Appellate Case Information System (ACIS). Public access does not require registration. Attorneys of record and self-represented litigants wanting greater access to documents in their cases must register in the new system.
